Female Undergrad and Graduate Students in the Majority

The U.S. Census Bureau reports some exciting news on the gender front - 56 percent of the undergraduate student population and 59 percent of the graduate student population are women! The Bureau provides additional education statistics in a press release on their website.

I recently saw a presentation on this. Some departments are now trying to recruit men (how things change). However, the field of geography still is greatly men over women.
