"Mr. Geography" Cabbie Gives Free Rides for Correct Answers

By , About.com GuideDecember 7, 2006

Follow me on:

Taxi driver Mohammad Saaed Collins from Toronto, Canada, claims to know a heck of a lot about geography. In fact, he will give a free cab ride to anyone who can answer one of his questions right. Canada.com interviewed Collins and you have to read it! I love this quote, "We're standing on geography. People are born on geography. Moving from place to place is geography. If you study it deeply, you'll find all major conflicts stem from geography. Hitler taking neighbouring countries is geography. Now, America went to Iraq -- it's about geography." I wonder if he knows more than me?

Hey Matt, Sounds like you’re challenging Mr Geography. I’d like to see a Matt versus Mr Geography Smackdown! At the very least, you should be able to ask him harder questions than the ones in this article!

OMG!
I’m in Toronto on business and just got a cab ride from Mr. Geography! Out of curiosity i searched for him on the web when i got back to my computer and found this site.
He really is a pretty cool guy and insisted that i give him questions to answer the whole way to my hotel. (He answered every one right. Not that they were super hard, but he got them right!)
It’s just too bad i don’t know what the capital of Nigera is. Damn.

Never heard of this amazing man before, but was lucky to get a ride from him last Tuesday. As a world traveller I tried real hard to stump him by asking what I deemed difficult questions. Nope, he got them all, though I will take kudos on that he had to think on one of them! Lol
