I am puzzled about the purpose of this article: it “argues” that Palestine is not a country, which is an issue about as debateable as arguing whether rain is wet! Of course Palestine is not a country – it hasn’t enjoyed that status since Israel was carved out of its territories. It is exactly because its status as a country has been stripped away that the PLO came into existence, and not until the Palestinians are given a country again can the Middle East Crisis hope to be solved.
