The U.S. Census Bureau provides an interesting collection of facts about the Fourth of July (a.k.a. Independence Day) in the United States. For example, did you know that the U.S. population on July 4, 1776 was approximately 2.5 million or that 11 places in the U.S. have the work "independence" in their name or that 68 million Americans took part in a barbecue in the past year?

The weirdest moment I had reading the fun facts was when I read the statistic that 91% of all Flags of the United States&emdash;that glorious symbol to never be defiled&emdash;are made in China.
Sounds like we need an amendment banning foreing flag manufacture.
