The latest edition of Microsoft's version of GIS software, MapPoint 2006, is expected to be released this month, according to the Microsoft website. MapPoint is a very impressive, yet affordable, piece of mapping software. I reviewed MapPoint 2000 a while ago but anticipate reviewing MapPoint 2006 upon its release.
