How are there no California cities in the top ranks of allergy cities.
I live in San Jose, California and can vouch for the high allergy condition here. And how can Los Angles not be at the top of the list?

This article is very misleading. The headline is “Worst Cities for Allergies” but if you read the article it centers on “the most challenging places to live with allergies”. These are two significant items especially when one of the 3 criteria that is used is the doctor to patient ratio. “Worst Cities for Allergies” to me means you are more likely to suffer from allergies living in a particular area and not that the doctor/patient ratio is below average.

I absolutely disagree. I have lived in CT, NYC, Washington DC, Austin TX, and Boston. Boston is by FAR the best for seasonal allergies. Austin TX is by FAR the worst!!! Pollen almost year around. Boston gives you breaks all winter and summer, and parts of spring and fall. The only break in Austin was during August when everything was dead from the heat. Austin has something called Cedar Fever, where counts can reach up to 60,000!!! No fun around the holidays and into January. We moved out after 3 years, our first asthma nebulizers and 4 pneumonias for our toddler in a 2 year span. Thank goodness for Boston!
