The Orlando Sentinel has printed one of the first articles reporting on the adulthood of the Millennials or Generation Y - those born from around 1980 through about 2000. The oldest Millennials are 26 now and are starting to have an impact. In the case of Orlando, as the article points out, the Millennials are not only gentrifying the downtown, they're also moving to the suburbs and marking their mark in the community. The article reports that Millennials will be the largest generation in the United States by 2010.

Hi Al! Generation X is called Generation X and its birth years are about 1965 to 1979.
Though datelines for generations are not clear-cut and defined, most academic sources will cite the Generation Y (or Millennial) generation as born between 1982-1995. They are so-named Millennials because they were the first to come of age in the new Millennium. Accordingly, many cross-sectioned demographic or generational studies will use 1982-1995 as the range of choice.
