Dear Readers of Matt’s Geography Blog,

On January 14, 2008 the ICF announced its 2008 list of the world’s Top 7 Intelligent Communities at the Pacific Telecommunications Council’s annual conference. Three communities (Gangnam District in Seoul; Dundee, Scotland & Tallinn, Estonia) returned to the list from 2007. Three American communities made the list for the first time, after an absence of American selections since 2006. The Top Seven will all be in NYC from May 14-16 for the “Building the Broadband Economy” summit at Polytechnic University. We appreciate your comments on our communities, methodology and mission. If you live in a worth community and would like ICF to study it based on our criteria for selection, please visit our website http://www.intelligentcommunity.org for a nomination form and a detailed explanation of our criteria. We invite any reader interested in attending our Summit to contact ICF. Thanks to our hosts, we do offer 50 complementary registrations to qualified community, academic and technology-centric people worldwide.
