Rumsfeld Misspoke on Taiwan

Foreign Policy reports on slip of the tongue by U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld last August who referred to Taiwan as an independent country. The Secretary stated (in reference to Taiwan), "You know, I’ve always believed that countries—sovereign nations—have to do what they decide to do. It’s up to them to do it." Of course, Taiwan is not a country.
