According to a report by Morgan Quitno Press, a publishing and research company, Newton, Massachusetts has earned the title of America’s Safest City for the second year in a row. Also winning a second time was Camden, New Jersey, ranked by the company as the country's most dangerous city. Based on crime data for murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and motor vehicle theft, Newton was followed by Clarkstown, New York; Amherst, New York; Mission Viejo, California and Brick Township, New Jersey. The most dangerous cities following Camden are Detroit, Michigan; St. Louis, Missouri; Flint, Michigan and Richmond, Virginia.
