The U.S. Census Bureau released a study of the daytime populations of cities that found Washington D.C. to be the large city that grows by the highest percentage each day, as workers go into the city for their jobs. D.C. grows by 72 percent, or 410,000 people each day during business hours. The most extreme example of daytime growth is Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The city has a nighttime resident population of 16 but grows by 192,237% as more than 30,000 workers arrive at their jobs at Walt Disney World and the surrounding area (the increase in population does not include resort guests).
