Seed Freezer on Svalbard

Norway intends to protect the biodiversity of the planet by creating a bank of seeds of food crops to protect them from plant epidemics, climate change, war, and natural disasters. It is expected that the permafrost of the Svalbard Archipelago will protect the seeds.
