In honor of today's World Environment Day, the United Nations Environmental Programme has released a 332-page atlas which provides satellite images showing dramatic changes to global sites due to deforestation, urbanization and climate change. The atlas One Planet, Many People: Atlas of Our Changing Environment, includes "before and after" satellite image pairs on various themes for 80 sites around the world. World Environment Day is being held in San Francisco with a theme of "Green Cities" and a slogan of "Plan for the Planet!"
