Nauru Recognizes Taiwan

The Pacific island country of Nauru has shifted their diplomatic allegiance from China to Taiwan, and now recognizes Taiwan at the true China, after only three years of recognizing mainland China. Previously, Nauru recognized Taiwan from 1980 through 2002. Nauru is thus currently one of twenty-six countries that recognize Taiwan instead of mainland China.
