California State University Sheds "Hayward" From Name, Prefers "East Bay"

California State University Hayward no longer exists, the CSU campus located midway between San Jose and Berkeley will now be known as California State University East Bay. I think it was a good idea. Seems to me that most of the prestigious schools link ones thinking to the area they are located in and not a person even one who is noteworthy. If Hayward was globally known, maybe but if you want appeal East Bay will work better.
