Zanzibar's New Flag

For the first time in forty years, the island portion of Tanzania is flying its own flag. The archipelago of Zanzibar, located off the Tanzanian coast, united with Tanganyika in 1964 to form Tanzania. Zanzibar is not an independent country so the flag is similar to a flag of a U.S. state or Canadian province.
