Mt. St. Helens Eruption

After two decades of inactivity, Mt. St. Helens is rumbling again. Though the volcano had given warning in 1980, scientists and onlookers were still surprised when Mt. St. Helens erupted on May 18. The avalanches, mud flows, and blast left only death and destruction behind. Will Mt. St. Helens do the same in 2004?
