Five Cities Finalists for 2012 Games

Five cities - London, Paris, New York, Moscow and Madrid - were chosen by the IOC to be candidate cities to host the 2012 Summer Olympics. Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, Leipzig and Havana were unsuccessful in their bids. On July 6, 2005 the IOC will meet in Singapore to choose the host for the 2012 Games.
