Huge Earthquake Due in Seattle Area

By examining the sediment at the bottom of Lake Washington, scientists have recently discovered a long history of large earthquakes in the Seattle area. Apparently, there have regularly been magnitude 7 or 8 earthquakes hitting the region every 300 to 500 years. The last one hit the area approximately 300 years ago, so another is due soon.
