CommonWealth produced a map of U.S. politics, which divides the country into ten regions based on similar voting patterns. The map reminds me a lot of Joel Garreau's Nine Nations of North America. Each of the ten regions is responsible for 10.4 to 10.8 million votes. There's an associated article that explains more. The ten regions are called Northeast Corridor, Southern Lowlands, Upper Coasts, The Farm Belt, Great Lakes, Appalachia, El Norte, Southern Comfort, Big River, and Sagebrush. Take a look and share your thoughts on the Geography Forum.
