Ice Shelf Spits, Drains Huge Lake

Providing further evidence of global warming, the Ward Hunt Ice Shelf in Nunavut (Canada) has split in two, releasing all the freshwater from the Northern Hemisphere's largest epishelf lake (a body of mostly freshwater trapped behind an ice shelf).
