Last April, President Kumba Yala of Guinea-Bissau announced that he would move the nation's capital from Bissau to Buba, a small town southeast of Bissau. Now that President Kumba Yala has been detained and General Verissimo Correia Seabre declared himself president of Guinea-Bissau after seizing power in a coup, it's not likely that the move will take place.
