Six Gateway States for Immigrants

The U.S. Census Bureau reports that 60% of immigrants from 1995-2000 entered the U.S. through six states - California, New York, Texas, Florida, Illinois and New Jersey. Once arriving in a "gateway" state, they tend to move to the interior. Read more in their news release.
