Travels With Your Guide

It's been an unusual July and August on the road for me. In late July, I was in Pine Bluff, Arkansas for a week of Red Cross and Army-sponsored Weapons of Mass Destruction and Terrorism training at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Less than a week later, I traveled to Oakland, California for the weekend of August 1-2 to teach at the California State Disaster Training Institute. Then, on August 8, I was deployed to Tupelo, Mississippi to run a disaster relief operation due to localized flooding caused by nearly five inches of rain which fell in less than two hours. I ran the operation in Tupelo for about a week and returned home yesterday and intend to stick around for a few weeks, at least! ;) Long story short, I've now visited two more states so am up to 24 total U.S. states.
