Historic papers belonging to the 2nd Viscount Barrington, who sat in judgment on John Harrison's work on determining longitude, have been bought by the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, south-east London. The papers will enable experts to reassess the discussions of the Board of Longitude regarding Harrison's clock.
