New Gravity Maps of Earth

The strength of gravity is not uniform around the earth as can be seen on the new gravity maps from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE). The research provided by GRACE, two scientific satellites launched in 2002, have quickly surpassed all previously researched data. These gravity maps are believed to be at least 10 times better than any created before.
