Fastest Growing Counties

The U.S. Census Bureau has released a listing of the 100 fastest growing counties from July 1, 2001 to July 1, 2002. Number one is Rockwall County, Texas, with a 7.9% increase in one year (granted, the population rise was from 47,130 to 50,858). The greatest numerical increase was Riverside County, California with an increase of 75,646 people (4.7% increase).
