New U.S. Baby Names Data

The U.S. Social Security Administration has updated their data on the most popular baby names in the U.S. (based on 100% samples of those applying for Social Security numbers). The top names for 2002 were - for females 1) Emily, 2) Madison, and 3) Hannah - for males 1) Jacob, 2) Michael, and 3) Joshua. Data is available for the top 1000 names and most popular names by state. Interestingly, Jose is #2 in Arizona and #3 in California.
